Idea #1 Inclusion in the Outdoors Problem: A large group of young girls are joining Scouting (formally Boy Scouts) for the first time without the established structure and support of their male counterparts.   Purpose: To create a product that is focused around the young girls specific needs when they begin to venture into the outdoors.   Idea #2 Different Body Types in Water Sports Problem: The outdoors are constantly becoming more diverse but there is little to any PFD (Personal Floatation Device) that are designed specifically for woman’s varying body types, especially at higher performance levels. Purpose: Create a PFD focused specifically around comfort and functionality for female users, particular at higher performance levels. Design Thinking Activity Results Winnie and I were teamed up for the design thinking activity where we had to interview each other and develop a product solution for our partners issue. For me, Winnie designed a wallet that had an attachment, so I wouldn't lose it during my various daily activities. Such a product would be beneficial in my daily life.
